Piping Engineer

Location: Madrid and Bilbao.

We are looking for a Piping Engineer, for one of our clients, an engineering company in the oil and gas sector located in Madrid and Bilbao.

The selected person will be in charge of:
  • Definition of 2D piping layout drawings.
  • Participate in the definition of piping classes (PSI, DIN, etc).
  • Material selection and sizing.
  • MTO preparation.
  • Generation of isometrics.
  • P&IDs: 3D piping diagrams.
  • Involvement in procurement/purchasing phases (supplier selection/validation, evaluation of technical proposals, etc).
  • Stress and force calculations.
  • Design/revision of supports.
  • Be able to deal with all applicable work specifications, piping classes, standards and work instructions that may be necessary for the correct development of the assigned work.
  • Perform required stress calculations per work instructions and project specifications.
  • Perform and transmit to the Mechanical Department the design orientation, shape and load of pipe tension clamps and nozzles.
  • Cooperate with piping designers in the selection of optimum routes to simplify stress design and assembly work.
  • Verify comments and follow up on piping surveys and drawings for correct inclusion of stresses and civil requirements for stresses.
Requirements:
  • Completed technical engineering.
  • Experience of 5 to 10 years in a similar position.
  • Specialty in Structures (metallic and cement/concrete).
  • Software: Caesar.
  • Medium/high level of English.
